This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Tools (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you install and use the Android application. Please read it carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and stop using it.
This policy applies to the PDF Tools mobile application and to any related support communications you send us, such as emails to the address listed below. It does not cover websites, applications, or services that you may open from the App when you choose to share a file with another program on your device. Those programs have their own privacy practices.
PDF Tools is a document utility. You can open PDF files, read and search them, manage pages, merge or split documents, add annotations and signatures, convert images to PDF, and export PDF pages as images. The App is designed to process files on your device. We do not operate an account system, and we do not ask you to create a profile or provide a name, phone number, or payment information in order to use the App.

The App does not require you to submit sensitive categories of personal data such as government identifiers, financial account numbers. Please avoid placing such information in documents unless you intend to process those documents yourself on the device.

The App does not upload your documents to our servers as part of ordinary use. Files leave the App only when you choose an action that requires it, for example:
Once a file is in another application or a location you selected, that destination’s rules apply. We cannot control how the receiving app stores or further shares the file.
We may disclose information if we are required to do so by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or if it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or others. We will limit such disclosure to what is reasonably required.
Working copies of documents, exported files kept inside the App, signatures, and library records remain on your device until you delete them in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling PDF Tools removes the App’s private storage on that device. Files you previously exported to the gallery, to Downloads, or to another app are not automatically deleted, because they live outside the App.
Temporary copies created for sharing or conversion may be cleared when the App starts or when they are no longer needed. You should still treat any exported copy as a file you control and delete it from your device if you no longer want it.
Emails you send to us are retained only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law.
We take reasonable steps to protect information stored by the App, including keeping working files in the application’s private directory and using the system sharing mechanism when you send a file to another app. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. You remain responsible for the physical security of your device, for using a screen lock, and for deciding which documents you open, edit, or share.
If a PDF is password-protected or encrypted, the App may be unable to open it. We do not ask you to send passwords to us.
PDF Tools is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us by email, please contact us and we will delete that correspondence where we are able to do so.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, typically limited to support emails you sent. To exercise those rights, write to the contact address below. We may need to verify that the request comes from the relevant email account.
The App processes files on the device where it is installed. If you email us, your message will be received and stored in the systems we use to read mail, which may be located in a country different from yours. By contacting us, you understand that your message may be handled in that location.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when the App adds features or when legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when that happens. The updated policy will be posted at this page. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised policy. If a change is material, we will take additional steps that are reasonable under the circumstances, such as updating the in-store listing.
